The Bouchie Lake Hall is the heart of the Bouchie Lake – Milburn Lake community. It was constructed in 1976 by volunteers on land donated to the community and since then it has hosted many community based functions including dances, meetings, flea markets, Christmas suppers, Senior’s luncheons, dance classes, fitness classes, weddings, fundraisers, and memorial services.
The Hall itself is 79’ x 38’ with a stage at one end having dimensions of 10’ x 16’. The Occupant load for the hall is as follows: Licensed – 230 persons; Non-fixed Seating & Tables – 290 persons; Non-fixed Seating – 368 persons. The Hall hosts a lobby, a men’s and women’s washroom, a meeting room and a full service kitchen which is equipped with a gas stove, electric stove, a sanitizer and well stocked with dishes and cutlery. Renting the hall includes full access to the tables, chairs and kitchen. The hall has open high speed wireless internet.
The Hall and grounds are owned by the Cariboo Regional District and managed by the Recreation Commission; they are partially funded through taxation via the North Cariboo Recreation and Parks service function.
