Dear Equestrian Community,
The Bouchie Lake community has a wonderful history and relationship with the horse. This relationship dates back to the first settlers of our community and is clearly demonstrated in the present by how busy the equestrian facilities are at the Bouchie Lake Hall during the riding season.
The Bouchie Lake Recreation Commission (BLRC) is working hard to manage and improve the equestrian facilities at the Bouchie Lake Hall. Last year we installed two new lights beside the horse arena. We also replaced all existing lights with LEDs and put them on a convenient timer button on the outside of the arena concession. The new lighting system will allow riders to use the arena later into the evening during the Spring and Autumn months.
The barn, concession and announcer’s booth have a fresh coat of paint, the bleachers are now anchored properly to the ground and we are currently looking into ways to improve the maintenance of the arena footings for the riders.
To help the BLRC in making future decisions regarding the equestrian facilities we would like to hear from you. We would appreciate you taking the time to fill out the following questionnaire and return it to the Bouchie Lake Hall, located at 1975 Centennial Road in Bouchie Lake, at your earliest convenience.
With your input, we can better understand the needs of our equestrian community and make decisions that reflect those needs.
From all of us at the BLRC, best regards and happy riding!
